Scenes from Grammy's Lap (Episode 1)

My little buddy G-Man hangs out on my lap a lot these days.  Enough that I thought I might run a little ongoing "series" of photos here at the blog during my extended stay in VA, and I think I'll call it "Scenes from Grammy's Lap."

I love today's photo, taken while my adorable grandson was napping sweetly, with his pudgy little hand resting on mine.
I think I'm getting pretty good at snapping pictures with my cell phone while holding G-Man, raising my right hand high overhead while my left arm is otherwise occupied.  (Just so you know, I'm patting my own back right now, with the same right hand I was just telling you about.)

This picture, taken from this interesting angle, is rather artsy--don't you think?  Too bad I'm not on Instagram, where I've heard such photos are found in abundance.  But I'll never be on Instagram.  (However, I was never going to be on Facebook or LinkedIn or Twitter, either, so...)

    I AM on the edge of my seat - you knew! I took hundreds of pictures of my grandchildren on my lap when they were infants. I especially loved taking shots of their little hands in mine as they slept.

    Thanks for sharing these great moments - I look forward to more!

    My newest grandbaby will hardly sit still on our laps anymore. He's too busy exploring and learning how to stand! You *should* be on instagram! Let us know if/when you are! :)

      Hmmm...Aileen, I'll think about it. My husband actually started an Instagram account, and he has never posted a thing on there. He never checks it. I think I would post and check all the time, and I already feel like I spend too much time with my nose in an electronic gadget. So we'll see...

      I feel the same way, Laura. I used to check FB, twitter and instagram obsessively. Now sometimes it will be days before I check any of those accounts. And that's okay. The world still revolves fine without me feeling like I'm missing something!
